Beech or pine?
Wave stools are strong and, unlike chairs, are designed to be rocked on.
Pine will last for years with normal sensible use on a carpet or cushioned vinyl. Because it is soft the rockers may develop small flats if used on a hard floor. They will feel like small bumps as you rock, but you won't feel them when you put it back on a carpet. Pine has knots in it. Its' cream colour will gradually turn to honey with sunlight (darker in a very sunny room).
Beech is twice as hard and stands up to hard floors, knocks, rough use, or very heavy people better. It should last a lifetime. Beech is an even, pinkish colour with few knots. It won't darken much.
